Larger post lights may be better suited to gate pillars, masonry columns or other wider upright surfaces. Check the base dimensions, mounting method, controls and intended placement before ordering, as not every model is designed to fit a conventional timber fence post.
Consider the available mounting surface, where you want the light positioned and how much direct sunlight reaches that location during the day. Post caps, pillar lights and post-mounted lamps are different formats, so choose the style that best matches the structure you are lighting.
